Jim Woodring's surreal visions and lush dreamscapes have made him one of the most influential alternative cartoonists of the past 20 years. He is best known for the "illustrated auto-journal" Jim and the much-celebrated Frank series. Since 2001, Woodring has been designing toys, including the Crazy Newts and Imperial Newts capsule toys for Sony Creative, Jiva for Presspop and Dorbel for STRANGEco.

Dorbel is Woodrings's homage to Japanese monster movies, spoofing Big Lizard toys down to the polybag and header card packaging.
